I think I’ll miss the crop tops most of all x Skatey photo dump More beach times We finally made it to the sea ✨ The Sky Beneath the Stone has officially been out in the world for a year! ✨ Sitting in the shade of trees we planted with friends about five years ago was quite overwhelming 🥲 It’s Tuesday, which in my opinion is a worse day than Monday. Here is a picture of my happy little workspace in the box room of our house, which is just large enough for a desk, a bookshelf and a medium-sized dog. There are a lot of maps and a surprising number of plants. If you remove any of the pictures from the wall you will find a hole in the plaster beneath because I didn’t know how to hang pictures properly when we moved here. On my shelves you will find research books (mainly trees and Old English), many notebooks, and a lot of vet nursing textbooks because I’m still a nerd when not in practice. There is also a spare lightbulb in case I feel the urge for a mood shift to warm white. 💡 At the start of the week I was at a loose end waiting on feedback for a few projects and feeling a bit useless, when a very wise friend @kath_philp suggested I make the most of this calm before the storm and do something fun. So I decided to hit my three “local” Shorewatch sites in one day, starting with sunrise at North Berwick, followed by ice cream at Pittenweem (from a shop which I can only assume is owned by a dog named Betsy who wears a blanket as a coat) and glassy seas at Kinghorn. Saw cormorants and eider ducks but only one whale (pictured). When I was walking in the woods with Finn after lunch today I could feel the anxiety levels growing.
